About Long John Silver's
Real seafood should be sourced from real sea-places, like, you know, oceans. So that's exactly where we source our wild-caught Alaska pollock, wild-caught Alaska salmon, and wild-caught north Pacific cod. We’re no one trick sea pony.

I ordered a 3 feet, chicken and 2 fish with an extra fish. I'm very disappointed the chicken. It was so small, and one of it wasn't even a piece of chicken. It was crumble, definitely not worth almost twenty dollars
At this time I can't judge the food. I'm sure it will be good, because I love Long John Silver's. However there were four cars in line in the Drive-Thru at 6:45 in the evening, and I've been in line for 15 minutes and still not up at the window. They may be short staffed, who knows. However you sell like four items. And they're all Deep Fat fried, why wouldn't you just have those four items constantly ready during the supper rush hours?
I visit once a month for my LJS fix. This location is always spot on. Friendly and efficient staff. The battered comfort food I am there for is always hot and fresh. I have gone to this location for 5 years and in all that time they have only made a mistake in my order one time! Pretty awesome for 60+ visits over time. They are doing drive through service during the Coronavirus and doing well at that, too. My typical order is a platter with drink. Cost of $10-12 and plenty for 2 to 3 meals.
They changed their coleslaw which is very disappointing, it used to be my favorite. This place does hold lots of memories for me though. I have been going here since I was little, I'm nearly 50. I still go here off and on when I make it to Des Moines around lunch time. Story has it it was a restaurant back in the 50s. It would be interesting to know for sure.
It's a typical Long John Silver's. If you like them then you'll like this one. Everything is just a little bit too greasy but when you're in the mood for it, it just hits the spot. Everything of mine was good, hot, & brought out to my wife & I way faster than I anticipated. The fish & shrimp were crispy & not soggy, the fries were hot & crisp, the rice was seasoned quite well, & the hush puppies were fantastic. I do wish they would go back to the days of having ketchup & tarter sauce back in the pumps like they used to, it's quite inconvenient opening 10-15 little packets of sauce & squeezing them into a container while sitting there staring & smelling you fresh food that has just come out. Over all it's not a big complaint but it definitely is a hindrance.
