Customer Reviews
This restaurant is run by the warmest man, Stevie. The food is the best Hawaiian I’ve had. The meats are all so tender and seasoned to perfection. The sides are delicious, too! The portions are huge, and the prices are great! A fun island vibe with the music and decor makes this a good spot to grab yummy grub!
I’m grew up in Hawaii and I love spam musubi. It’s probably one of the easiest things to make and I know this because I would make them and sell them at school like lots of kids would. Whoever made the musubi’s here either hates their job or they are lazy and don’t respect their customers. The rice was dry and hard, and the seaweed was a mess.
Worker was rude and food was bland minus the fire cracker or whatever flavor it’s exactly called but not good enough to be good anywhere else just their most flavorful. The white rice had as much flavor as the mac salad. The garlic chicken was just fried chicken with a little I guess ‘garlic’ tery type sauce. Supremely disappointed since I was looking to a good alternative to Mo Bettahs. I’d go to Mo Bettahs just for the great service over this place even if their food was good. If you love bland food and rude workers at your food service place you’re gonna love this place.
Being from Hawaii, this is definitely nowhere authentic or same level. The kalua pork - they use pork loin instead of pork shoulder. They don’t put cabbage. It’s dry. They will sometimes give your entire portion of nothing but a chunk of fat. I know it gives it flavor while cooking, but remove it afterwards. No one wants to eat that. 🤮🤢 The katsu sauce doesn’t taste the way katsu sauce should. Me and my husband would come frequent when it first opened, but it has significantly gone downhill to the point where it’s never even an option when discussing where to eat anymore.
Sadly disappointed, I should have read the reviews of how it used to be good. The rice was the best part of the meal. The chicken wasn't good. I should have ordered something else because it was expensive for not tasting good. I can't imagine returning to try something else because the experience was a huge let down.
