Customer Reviews
This restaurant is across the parking lot from Marshalls. They offer your popular Hawaiian food including musubi and Hawaiian style grilled meats. I just tried their two meat combo which is about $20 after tax. I picked bbq beef and bbq ribs. These two meats are close to your Korean bulgogi and LA ribs that are made with sweet and savory marinades. Unfortunately the meats were a bit tough and highly salty. Perhaps other people like salty foods but this was too heavily salted. Also they back a lot of rice on the plate probably because of the saltiness of their food. I would choose other meats such as chicken or shrimp instead. I would also prefer that they pack the green salad in another container rather than plant them inside the heated meat and rice. There is a bit lack of attention to dé
We got the mixed BBQ meat platter and were able to share it between two of us. All the meats were good! It was a good price, considering that we shared. Good place for a moderately quick dinner. Nothing fancy, though! It's an order-at-the-counter place.
Location:Good, Parking : Good, Service:good, price for food received : Good, Overall: I have been coming here for quite a while and the best part is the meals never seems to change. A good amount for the price and to get it in a decent amount of time is always a plus. Will continue to stop here and enjoy.
I have been at this Hawaiian Barbecue, once, and it was in September of 2022. The meal, that I have ordered, was delicious, and well-made. The wait line, to order meals, was not long. In addition, there was ample of space to sit down, and enjoy the meal. The staff, that worked during that shift, were helpful and friendly. Definitely, if anyone is in the area of La Verne, I would recommend to stop by this establishment. The prices, too, are worth it.
I like getting the pokey bowl with white rice and musubi. this place has always been classic to go to. I always prefer the pokey. That’s basically the only thing I get now. I usually get the other combos, but the sleeper is the fry shrimp. Get that with some rice and you’ll be all good. the service is always good when I go there and is basically the same staff, which is cool. Classic.
