LJ'Z Boardwalk

Ordered mint choc chip ice cream in a cone and the girl handed me a dripping liquid. I couldn’t eat it. It melted within I’d say 3 minutes completely. got all over my car and all over me. Why would they hand me that? When my boyfriend went to get napkins and a cup to put it into , you’d think the workers would ask for mine to be remade but instead they just stared blankly . Waste of 8 dollars.

I visited LJ’Z Boardwalk in Manville NJ for a quick snack after dinner. It was a great treat to have the orange cream ice cream as a soft serve. I normally could only find this down the shore, this was a pleasant surprise. Yes, you can find ice cream cheaper as the other reviews say, but that’s not what it’s about. It’s more about visiting a local ice cream shop and enjoying a snack with friends and family. You’re paying for a great experience. We got 3 cups and it came to $15. Overall I had a great experience and will certainly be back. The staff behind the counter are very nice!

Probably one of the best tasting ice cream places have been to. Very unique texture on the ice cream with complex taste profile. The black raspberry ice cream is a definite try for an ice cream connoisseur. Their orange swirl is also worth trying. One of those hidden gems in Manville. Only open during summer so make best use of the short period of time they are open during the year.

An old fashioned ice cream spot with tables to sit at and enjoy a nice treat. They have an excellent small vanilla shake and they don't skimp on the whipped cream. It costs about $5 and the sizing is more equivalent to a medium. All of the ice cream tastes fresh. Although prices are higher than we are used to, the quality is worth the cost. They have parking on each side and if you want to sit and rest on a bench near a tree nearby they have that option. They could benefit from some nice planters in the front. I will be back for their excellent shakes during the summer.
