Live Crawfish & Seafood Restaurant Chesterfield/Midlothian, VA

One of the best seafood boils I’ve had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfectly. It was so easy to get out big chunks of crab without much hassle. The server was very attentive and brought use extra butter without asking. I tried fried oysters for the first time, they were so crispy and well seasoned. The atmosphere inside was nice and cozy. Wouldn’t be able to tell how fire this place is from the outside. 10/10 recommend, go get yourself some seafood!

Hidden gem for seafood lovers! Everything hot, crunchy, and fresh! We tried the Boom Boom Crab Fries and the fried seafood platter, and both were fantastic. The crab fries came loaded with real shredded crab meat, perfectly crispy fries (not soggy), and a generous drizzle of spicy mayo sauce that had just the right kick. The fried platter was a great deal for the price, fresh and hot across the board. The shrimp were plump and juicy, the catfish had a naturally sweet flavor with a light crisp, and the soft-shell crab was a standout: crunchy outside, rich and buttery inside, with a savory depth you only get from whole crab. It was eh. We went and I was so excited for a seafood boil. (I did get their appetizer boom boom fries which were good but the fries were too hard for my liking.) but the boil had no flavor. I asked for medium spice and it just tasted like water in the bottom of it. Crab legs were okay when I dipped them in butter. I asked for scallops which weren’t cooked to my liking at all. Mainly no flavor so I was sad.

The outside of the building is deceiving and needs a little upgrading. The inside is nice and the food was very delicious! The crab legs and shrimp were big!! We were the only ones during lunch hours so it was a very quiet place. I definitely will be visiting this place if I go back to VA!

Delicious! We tried spicy and garlic butter sauces. Our little kids enjoyed the food as well. Will definitely go back.
