Little Capitol

The fall from grace that this place has suffered over the years is astounding. My dad’s been coming here since before I was born to get Shrimp Po’boy’s. Was his favorite spot and anytime we drove this way he stopped. Well we drove by it a few days ago in the afternoon and they didn’t have anyone cooking, and today we stopped in and they had people cooking, but the food was not up to snuff. He was particularly disappointed in the sausage sandwich. He said it was very dry. Took one bite and threw it away. The people who work there are all really nice. The bathrooms are decent. And they have a cool selection of things like Gator heads and claws. I bought a bunch of cool magnets and what not, but the food was just disappointing. Hopefully they can figure out what’s going on in the kitchen bef

Truck and RV parking is in the back lot and is a quick walk to go inside to the gas station. They have all the drinks and snacks you can ask for and some T-Shirt if you looking for a nic-nack to buy. Bathrooms could be cleaner but overall not a bad place to stop I didn't have the food inside, FYI

A fun stop along your route (what you would expect from a touristy service station) but do yourself a big favor and order lunch from the eatery inside the station. Wonderfully cooked local fare at a decent price. I at there several times while staying in the area. Found it to be just as good as some of the fancier places around.

Nice staff. Fresh food. Really fresh food. Got the shrimp plate. N its packed. Worth the 1.99 plus tax n drink. Smells so strong. Thank you they got truck parking in back. They also have washer n driers outside in a separate location. As long as the job gets done. Did not expect this. Restrooms are clean so keep it clean drivers n 4 wheelers.

I absolutely love this store! The staff is amazing and the store and restrooms stay clean. The little restaurant inside always have a line of people waiting. Next time, I'll go see why. The food must be delicious.
