Lisle Library District

It seems as if certain people are told by someone outside eating lunch on the patio that one may not be able to use (or share) the outside area electrical outlet and yet I have seen others out there for an extended amount of time probably plugged in. Maybe this person had a territorial claim to the area in a library where some resources could be shared like access to the electrical outlets and not the same table? Later after having to ask within the library and after some investigating and questioning, was told that patrons can use the outside area and the electricity, though it is not in an ideal area for others to benefit unless using a shared surge protector or extension cord to extend to other parts of the outside patio area leaving me to believe some type of profiling may have gone o

5 stars solely based on our experience in the Kids Area. We are not Lisle residents, but we were in the area and stopped in for our 18-month old to have some play time in the kids area. I was blown away by the space. We were greeted by a friendly librarian when we walked in and the area is large, books are organized, and it wasn’t too busy on a Friday morning. My daughter had a lot of fun at this library! I wish we were members.

Great place and have very supportive staff. They also conduct very important programs for both the kids and adults. The facilities and the resources also well updated.

I have lived in Lisle for quite sometime! I moved to DG. I really enjoy the people working and public there. It is clean and remains quit. I like to say it is my paradise away from the world. I would recommend stopping by!
