Lillagaard Bed & Breakfast

Ocean Grove Beach is a true Hidden Gem in NJ and Lillagaard B&B was the perfect place to stay in town. It was so quaint with 3 front porches and delicious breakfasts.... and right across from the boardwalk and a pristine beach, with a short walk to restaurants and shops on Main Ave, and a 7 min walk on the boardwalk to Asbury Park, too. Everything was perfect.... the sunny weather, beautiful sunsets, full moon glow on the ocean, sugar sand beaches, and even dolphin sightings! Wish we could have stayed longer, but will be back. Thank you!

Pros: great location, nice breakfast buffet, beach chairs/towels available, friendly staff|Con: rooms are a little run down and funky. Small bathroom, no privacy curtains — which is annoying for rooms that look out onto a deck. No fridge in room - ended up leaving wine in the communal fridge. ||In short, we had a nice stay but would probably not return. The cluttered cottage feel is just not my aesthetic.

This trip has been absolutely LOVELYYYYYYYY. Suzanne & everyone have been so welcoming & caring!!! They had great recommendations and guides to the area. Breakfast was DELICIOUS. They also had towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas available free to the guests which was AMAZING, especially since we forgot our chairs at home!!!! 12/10 would recommend. Bathrooms were not en-suite and were theoretically shared with another room but honestly we never even caught sight of them, truthfully did not detract from our trip in the least. We also loved the decks (yes, plural!) and the GORGEOUS views. Would love to return some day! I’m sure I’ve forgotten bits but yeah overall definitely lovely, welcoming, and just so cozy.

I enjoyed a great stay at the Lillagaard. Despite Hurricane Erin, Suzanne made my stay comfortable and interesting. It's easy to head to the beach (on sunny days!) and management has a full array of beach chairs, discounted beach tags and fluffy beach towels. Refrigerators make it easy to enjoy wine, and stash snacks and/or leftovers. I can't say enough good things about it!

A Charming & Welcoming Stay for the Choir Festival! My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Lillagaard Bed and Breakfast Inn for two nights while she was in town for the 2025 Ocean Grove Church Choir Festival. Our stay was simply fantastic from start to finish. The inn itself is incredibly dainty, charming, and was kept impeccably clean. It was a wonderfully peaceful retreat. What truly made our stay memorable, however, was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Suzanne, Brie, and the entire Lillagaard team for their warm and gracious hospitality. They made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable visit. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend the Lillagaard to anyone visiting beautiful Ocean Grove!
