A lovely little place in the quaintest village ever! It was PACKED though, and we only got a parking spot because we have a handicap placard. We had to hunt/wait to find a seat, but it was nice to browse the shop and good tucked around the cafe while waiting. The decor was rustic and cozy; vintage cards/wrapping paper, candles in glass votives, vintage ornaments, ribbon and stocking-holders. The proprietor was excited to talk to us about the candles in the shop and their unique scents, as she worked on shop displays. The first time we tried to visit, they were closed and their hours were not updated online, which was frustrating. But I’m glad we gave them another chance. Tried their gingerbread latte, brown butter chocolate chip cookie (I ordered the pumpkin/chocolate chip but was given th

Life’s Patina Mercantile & Café is an absolutely beautiful breakfast and lunch spot with outstanding customer service! The space is exceptionally clean, spacious, and calming, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy your meal. The menu offers a great balance of fresh, flavorful options, and the adjoining store is full of unique and thoughtful gift ideas — you’ll want to browse after you eat! A special shoutout to Bridget at the restaurant counter for her kindness and patience as we asked about the menu — she truly made our visit even better. And kudos to Meg, the owner, for hiring such a wonderful, welcoming team and curating such a peaceful, inviting environment. This is truly a 5-star destination you’ll love — we can’t wait to come back! 🌿☕✨

This is my favorite place! I visit it every week. I am still curious where they hire so many warm and beautiful people from but they did a great job! I should mention a cosy, upscaled farm house interior with a European feel to it. Their store is a hard to go by. The food is outstanding! Their avocado toast with marinated red onions and spiced seed/nut mix is required to try along with all the pastries. My favorite is crostada. And... SOUPS - new every week they are heavenly! if there are Gods of soups - they are at Life's Patina Cafe.

The most incredible gem awaits. The food is top. Quality service was excellent and friendly plenty of seating in a beautifully decorated rustic setting! Great for business meetings, coffee, or lunch with friends or just on your own as I did today to do some business! Cannot wait to return. I hope it’s here forever! Even the drive there was quaint and beautiful. The merchant part and the store is absolutely adorable and so many wonderful goodies and high-quality items!! Second visit was equally lovely planned for about an hour for lunch and take your time Friday. Fridays are typically a busy day for them, but it’s worth it. Everything is delicious. I had the ham griller today and the lemon cake. It was amazing.!!!

Life’s Patina Mercantile & Café is a wonderful addition to the local community—a café, boutique, and gathering place all in one. The owners took on a remarkable challenge by restoring a historic building, preserving its character while adding new charm and vitality. I’ve enjoyed many of their offerings—coffees, espresso, teas, butternut squash quiche, smoked salmon toast, soups, and salads. They also serve delicious baked goods such as muffins, currant scones, cookies, and cakes, along with special seasonal treats during the holidays. Guests can dine indoors, outdoors, or on the covered porch. It’s also a great place to find gifts. The shop features an ever-changing selection of specialty food items like coffees, jams, and seasonings, along with home décor, table settings, cards, and eve
