The library is amazing! You can checkout almost any book you want to read for FREE! The library workers are great. I request books online, they pull them for me, and I just stop in at the front desk and pick them up. It's so easy. They also have great programs for kids and the library workers in the kids area are so nice and helpful. I love visiting my local library!
Just was trying to make some scans of my art in order to digitalize it, a nice young lady helped me scan she was awesome. But the other lady not so much. I also was making a lot of scans so when someone arrived I paused to let them go ahead so they didn’t have to wait on me, which I planned to do again. But this older blond lady who also had been talking about art the whole time I was there so I was surprised by this attitude, stood over me staring at me with her hands together like I was in the way while I was already gathering my things to step aside and she said “all done?” Like girl what are you rushing me for I had been there for 10 minutes and was obviously trying to move out of the way. Super rude and weird you should encourage young artists if you are an artist I am not coming back
Well, I awoke this morning, made my coffee and proceeded to use my HOOPLA app and enjoy a read. It seems the PUBLIC library has decided for the PUBLIC it services to cancel the Hoopla and keep Libby which has a terrible book base. I have never been able to borrow a book on Libby under certain authors. Way to go Lexington County Public Library for deciding for the PUBLIC to keep the wrong app. You do not get an excellence award. Reply to LCPL owner Thank you for your reply and helping understand your decision. Since you are the one that brought up the cost versus the other Library App it would be nice if the owner of the Lexington County Public Library would make it public, for us, the public, the cost to keep the apps. I would rather be a solution to this instead of the problem. As a sug
The librarians were great with all 3 of my kids. They are very patient and helpful with all their questions. We can't wait to go back to see all that the library has to offer. Their online resources are amazing as well. We've been listening to audiobooks in addition to what we checked out physically.
Unacceptable, I booked an appointment for a private. For a test that I needed to set up my camera for my university to Proctor my exam. My details were confirmed by the receptionist when I booked over the phone, now I am here and they don't have anything available for me and everything is booked. I scheduled here, scheduled with my school, and took time out my day for these specific times.
