I hardly write reviews but I just cut my finger trying to cut through one of their bagels that was received this morning. It was rock hard. Everything is either super fresh or super stale or super under proofed. Seems like this is a consistency issue with the bakers rather than the baked goods themselves. Personally I think if somebody is paying for fresh baked goods they should be fresh and not days old. The bagels are always the biggest issue. Today’s batch could literally be thrown at somebody’s head and give them a concussion that’s how hard they are. Sometimes the danishes have hardly any filling in it and sometimes the croissants are either twice the size or half the size they normally are. Again, the place makes great baked goods, but the bakers need to be talked to or something.

I was loving the cranberry and walnut bread, but a few of the last I got recently were kind of dry and not as good as the first one had. Also, there French pastries are not as authentic as ones from other bakeries in the city. It seems like the quality of items have gone down over the years. I also don’t love that they put everything in plastic bags.

Delicious bread, pastries and rolls. Bread has no preservatives and is wonderful! Will definitely be returning. Service was top notch.
