Leavenworth Public Library

Stopped in today while out with my 4 yo. The parking lot is wonky. The bathroom was nice and clean. Kids area was okay. I will never understand why a library would buy something built to be climbed on & then say not to climb on it... use your money to buy something else then. Not very much for my 4 yo to do, but he did enjoy putting together a floor puzzle. We did not speak with anyone while there. Which could be considered a good or bad thing depending lol. I thought about asking if they give out of area cards, but no one looked very approachable. If we come back through town again I might stop, but I won't return to town specifically for the library.

I go here when I need space. When I need peace, or when I have a lot to do and I need a computer or a printer, or both. The free access to Internet and the free use of computers with access to premium services is an awesome community resource. Document copying and printing is a little on the expensive side, in my opinion, it could be about half the current price. But that's the price you pay for what you want, or to help afford the other awesome perks. Good day

Bigger selection of books than Lansing library. Children’s section. Has some nice additions over the years. Nice quiet place to come study, read, surf the web or be productive. Restrooms are clean. Plenty of sitting space.

Went in today to get a library card and a book. The librarians at the counter were wonderful. The one helping me explained everything I could do with both the physical and digital library cards. The other librarian saw the book I was checking out and after some small talk I told her the next book I was interested in. She told me about audiobooks that could be streamed through the digital card, including one I had previously mentioned. It was a great experience. Thank you!!

Such a great place for information; its like my own little mini vacation every time I go inside... I know I can just drown myself into a book for hours and not be interrupted!
