Leamans Country Lodge

This guest house made for an excellent stay in the Lancaster area. Rooms were well appointed and we had full access to the kitchen and living room. The setting is rural with farming going on all around. Yet we were 10 minutes from most of the attractions. The owner stopped by to make sure everything was good. Will definitely return when we get back to Lancaster

Great place to stay in Lancaster County. Rooms are comfy and have individual bathrooms and showers. All appliances work. There is no need to buy paper plates or traveling cutlery since everything is provided. Parking can comfortably accommodate up to 5 cars. Nice view on the fields from the heigher elevation point. Friendly and caring owners.

I have never experienced anything other than a hotel for an overnight stay. Once again luck was with me in finding Leaman's Country Lodging. Tucked several miles (approx 6.5) from American Music Theater on Lincoln Highway you will enjoy the scenic farmlands and the wonderful vegetable and fruit stands I can't resist stopping at. I would describe Leaman's as a bed and breakfast type lodging but without someone to cook for you. We arrived and had a nice written greeting with some instructions. The house was ranch style with several bedrooms and a small suite. It was beautifully decorated, clean, quiet and had everything you would need. Each room had a private bathroom. We have stayed with John and Nancy about 4 times now. They house is very clean and comfortable. They are very accommodating. Kitchen is stocked with dishes etc to make a meal if you choose. Dishwasher too. Will definitely be back again.

We stopped in Bird-In-Hand to spend a few days while traveling to the Poconos. We stayed in the Dogwood Suite which also had a sitting room with a couch, recliner chair and TV. The suite also had a back door close to the parking area which made carrying our luggage in much easier. Nancy is a wonderful gardener and the property is beautifully landscaped with a picnic and sitting area outdoors for the guests to utilize. John was very knowledgeable and gave us many suggestions for off the beaten path places to see. The rooms are reasonably priced and lodging is only a short drive from many of the more popular Lancaster attractions. Would definitely stay here again.
