Le Rendez-vous Bed & Breakfast

Marvelous views fantastic property the owners are very personable and nice to visit with a must stay if you're coming to the area.

The price was unbeatable for a 1 bedroom condo at $115 per night. Four condos for rent off a family residence. No dishwasher and ice maker did not work. Swimming pool and hot tub that was not up working yet for the summer. We were visiting our daughter and kids at the air force base. Beautiful grounds and view of the mountains. Very roomy.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Rendez-Vous in the Foothills area on the outskirts of Tucson (just off N. Oracle Road, on West River Road). The host graciously upgraded us from the smallest of three apartments attached to his home to one of the larger ones. So for the price of the small studio we had a beautiful living space -- two large, open rooms with huge windows and a patio and a great view of the mountains. I'm sure that we would have been happy with our accommodations even if we'd stayed in the smaller poolside room, but the free upgrade made our stay even more enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked with breakfast foods ... coffee, fruit, yogurt, milk, juice, English muffins, bacon and eggs. It's a great location if you want to be outside of the city. My husband & I came to Tucson for a special anniversary dinner and wanted to stay someplace nearby. When I made dinner reservations at Le Rendezvous in Tucson I saw at their website they advertised their B&B by the same name. It's approx 4 miles from the restaurant but an easy drive. We had a suite that was the size of a small apartment. It had a full kitchen (which we did not use.) It had a terrace that had a gorgeous view of the city. We were warmly welcomed and asked what time we would like to have breakfast the following morning. The owner/chef of Le Rendezvous, Jean Claude, made us a delicious breakfast of eggs benedict with a homemade hollandaise sauce. Between the fabulous dinner the night before at Le Rendezvous and the gourmet breakfast I think I gained 5 lbs!!||Jean Claude'

We enjoyed our stay at the Rendezvous. They no longer serve breakfast, but the owners provided us with some breakfast foods (eggs, bacon, and muffins). There is a good grocery store nearby where we shopped. Also, you clean up after yourself. The one-bedroom place has a nice living room with a dining-room table. This is a good value. The place looks a little bit thrown together, but we were comfortable. The place is a little hard to find your first time, but then you get used to it. The location is very convenient to Tohono Chul, places to hike, and downtown Tucson. There are plenty of restaurants within about a 5-10 minute drive.
