Lazy J Motel

Absolutely charming! Do not hesitate! It is easy to be skeptical about a smaller motel now a days but the Lazy J does not disappoint!! The Lazy J was extremely clean and cozy. They showed an attention to detail leaving us very nice toiletries as well as some candies and a commemorative key chain. They were so accommodating when we got in much later than expected and were flexible with our check out time which we really appreciated. We only stayed one night since we were on the road but we easily could have stayed for a week! We highly recommend the Lazy J!

Big Timber is a beautiful scenic town! The Lazy J was a fantastic surprise! We stayed in a very reasonably priced, recently remodeled, extra clean room #15. The bed was comfortable. There’s wide, covered patio area with seating, tables, and flowers just outside the door. The owners and employees are friendly, kind and helpful. It was a most enjoyable experience, we wish we could have stayed longer. ♥️

We were wandering our way from Ohio to Colorado and happened to find ourselves in Montana. People are working hard in this area and some of the workers reside in the local motels. We spoke to one here who was a miner. The place was clean and quiet with a great neon sign out front---a true motel! Our room, 17, appeared to be newly refurbished and made to be handicapped friendly. Gigantic bathroom. Comfortable King bed and clean. Unfortunately my problem arose when I went to turn off the air-conditioner. We found there to be a propane heater beneath it that was putting out a good amount of heat (from the pilot light). It could not be turned off. That meant that we had to keep the air-conditioner running and it was extremely noisy. I didn't get much sleep but my husband did fine and anyone wh

I've stayed at the Lazy J a couple times on trips to that area. A week each time. Very convenient for a fishing trip on the Boulder River. I can't say enough. The folks are very friendly and helpful if anything may be needed. They make you feel right at home. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. You can't go wrong staying at the Lazy J. Either for one night, or an extended period. You won't regret your choice.
