Lavender Country House

I stayed at lavender house at the suggestion of a well known and established real estate office as I was coming into town to purchase a house with my wife four years ago. The owner was a pleasant person from England that had purchased the property. I am a senior citizen and so is my wife. I was not told that we had to walk 13 steep stairs to go to our room prior to renting at the property. Everything in the room was not functional. Also while we were out the owner entered our room and tied up our pug dog outside next to her dog. This was very upsetting. Our dog was never tied up outside. The entry to our room was an invasion . Also after that incident we did not stay the next day and she made it difficult to get a refund. She made a very nice breakfast, seemed like a nice person. I wish he

I can't recommend any place more highly. I've stayed at many hotels, AirBnBs, and even other Bed and Breakfast places, but none of them have been as nice as Lavender Country House. Ann is a fantastic host, and her service is beyond excellent. The gorgeous lake is perfect for fishing, kayaking (which are provided), or just sitting and watching the sunset by. The whole place is immaculately clean, and very well maintained. The food is wonderful as well - Ann is a great cook! LCH was one of the best places I've ever stayed, not only when compared to other places in the area, but truly a five star stay period. Whether you're traveling for business, or just looking for a nice place to get away, Lavender Country House is a truly great choice.

I had an excellent time at Lavender Country House. The property itself is beautiful, with scores of pecan trees, a lake, and a large deck and yard for recreation. The rooms were amazing and very clean, and Ann, the owner, was extremely attentive to our needs. The breakfasts she prepared were delicious and she was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. She also helped us get into the lake when we used her kayaks. I highly recommend LCH to anyone travelling through this area!

Very pleasant stay at LCH. The house and rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Ann made us feel welcome and at home. She cooked us delicious breakfasts, provided lots of good coffee, and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed hearing a bit about the UK too! Highly recommend!

We were involved in an air race last April and needed a place to stay as there were very few options. We heard of Ann’s place through the race sponsors and it sounded ideal for both of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and Ann was most engaging in a measured way. Looking forward to the next stay.
