Latin Roots Bar & Grill

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, my husband and I went to Greenville, NC to hike the South Tar River Greenway and Wildwood Park. After completing six miles, we headed back to our car and started looking for a place to enjoy lunch and a couple of drinks. We came across Latin Roots Bar & Grill on Google Maps and decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was very nice. Our waitress, Nelly (I believe that was her name), was attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful when it came to choosing both food and drinks. The drinks were well made and delicious, and the food did not disappoint. We highly recommend Latin Roots Bar & Grill if you’re in Greenville. We’ll definitely be back—there are still a few trails in the area we plan to explore!

Love Latin roots!! Our server Caroline was very attentive and helpful with menu suggestions! Everything is FRESH so expect a little wait, but it's not unreasonable for how tasty it all is. So far I've had the nachos, ropa vieja, empanada flight, calamari, ceviche (large portion!), and seafood soup. Highly recommended for date night, great for large groups, or just hanging out by the bar

This place was amazing! We had never been before, and they Mofongo was raved about. We arrived on a Saturday evening and it was short staffed. So the reason why they got a three, however our server once he realized we were, his table was an absolute delight. He was very knowledgeable and gave us very good suggestions. We tried the margarita flight, blackberry, pineapple, and passionfruit, and it was Chef kiss. We had the empanada flight as well, the beef and the mozzarella were definitely the better options. I had the seafood Mofongo, which was delicious, it was definitely worth the price. My husband had The chicken with the garlic sauce. He did say it was a little dry without the sauce, but the sauce itself is really good and the chicken was cooked well.

Great food and service. I'm definitely coming back for the Latin vibes Great ambience here even though it was not busy when I was there on a Thursday evening For starters, the chicken empanada was warm and delicious. Tried the trifongo with pork for the entree and this was delicious and filling. Lovely place!! The server Caroline was attentive

Everything we ordered was delicious! The music was lively. The ambiance was perfect and the way they celebrated birthdays drew my attention. We ordered the Bandeja Paisa and it was perfect. Enough food for two meals. Our server was awesome and knowledgeable about the menu even though it was just his 4th day.
