Lately's

The Pizza at Lately's is crispy and delicious. The manager Tyler is always in there and you can tell he really cares about the quality of the pizza. Im greatfull this is my nebiorhood pizza place as it's the best in the area in my opinion. There open late and have a great beer and soda selection.

If you've yet to enjoy a Detroit-Style Pizza, now's the time and Lately's of Hallowell is the place. Yesterday I enjoyed one of the best pizzas I've ever had. And I have enjoyed a lot of Pizza. While you're there be sure to order some NY style bagels. A true Gem on the Kennebec River in central Maine.

I was surprised to find that I could get a truly excellent pizza & a cold brew in the same place in Hallowell...definitely recommend this spot for both, and they do bagels in the mornings as well. A unique combination and all homemade recipes, the owner is in the store often and the attention to detail with ingredients is impressive. One of the best pizzas I've had in Maine - especially if you like a thin but firm crust. Highly recommend this great new spot!

Boyfriend and I were traveling back home, off season, and this was one of the only places open! Homemade bread was out of this world! I got a bacon egg and cheese on focaccia and my boyfriend ordered the Gun Slinger on a biscuit, 12/10! The UK lemonade and local red velvet whoopie pie was the cherry on top of a delicious experience! *this is the type of sandwich you eat with someone in complete silence because you need to experience how good each bite is

I've been to Lately's a few times since they've opened. The first time I had a steak and cheese sandwich that was amazing, which I don't believe they have anymore. I've gotten some slices since then and they have been fantastic! The owner was extremely kind and seemed genuinely passionate the time I met him (my first visit) which earns some major points from me. I stopped in tonight after checking out a band in Hallowell to grab a couple slices... it hit me that anytime I've been in, the staff has always been friendly and seemed happy to be there no matter the time. If you haven't checked this place out, check it out. Some of, if not the best, pizza I've had in Maine.. and I've lived from the bottom of the state to the top!
