Lassen's Tap

Located in Homewood, Illinois. I had the tacos, two ground beef and one chicken. The beef were great, although they do not have hard shell, only corn or flour soft The chicken is not shredded, but sliced and it was a bit chewy. The price for the tacos was great and they were large so I could have just had the two beef tacos and would have been happy. We also ordered the deep fried Brussel sprouts, which were tender and delicious. They also have Reuben Egg Rolls, which I didn't try but will if I ever get back there. To drink, I had the Yeungling Lager and it was very tasty.

The service here has been really good, and it does get really busy here at times. They have a lot of TV’s, so it’s a good place to watch sports games if that’s your thing. I would give the food 4 stars. It’s a good value and most of the items I’ve tried have been good. The burgers are usually good. I don’t like the awesome sauce on the OG Smash burger, so I wouldn’t pick that one again. Also, the smash burger didn’t really have a smash burger feel. The patties were still really thick. And there was one time where it tasted like my burger had absolutely no seasoning on it. But most of the time, the burgers are good. Stopped in at Lassens Tap before a concert to eat and relax with friends, only to discover they no longer make my favorite shrimp Po’boy sandwich! I was shocked 😱 in fact, the entire menu has changed. I decided to roll with it and ordered their nachos, which were deliciously crafted, along with their spicy tacos. Unfortunately, 😩no substitutions were allowed, so I had to go with the corn tortilla. The tacos get a 4/10 from me; flavorful, yes, but small and a bit skimpy. It felt like I was mostly eating crunchy chicken strips. If the parking lot is full, be prepared to park farther away and cross a busy street. Lassens is one of our favorite spots that is local to Homewood. The food is so flavorful and different from your normal bar food scene. The Reuben egg rolls are so dang good. We have to get them every time we go but the absolute MUST is the sausage pesto pizza. It is such an amazing bite of pizza. The dough is light and has a great chew. The sausage is delicious, crumbly and the pesto sauce just brings it all together. They have amazing burgers, sandwiches, wings, you name it. Highly recommend taking a visit here. You will not be disappointed.

Let me just say…my pictures does no justice lol they burgers?!! 10/10 easyyy lol I had the classic lassen with aïoli sauce and my husband had the OG burger they did not discount and for $11? Worth every penny. I will be back
