Las Trancas Mexican Rest - Martinsburg

This is the best Mexican restaurant we have visited in the area. The cook went to culinary school to learn how to cook French in Mexico City. The chimichangas with roast beef were absolutely out of this world. So authentic, authentic spices and flavors. The chorizo quesadilla was amazing. The spices again very authentic. I know they've got some low ratings but please give them a chance.

We came into eat and everything was delicious! We ordered thebsoup, fajitas and chilli rellenos. Our server Abby was professional and attentive to our needs. The manager Cesar came over and was also very knowledgeable. Will definitely come back again. Hidden gem in Martinsburg

Ordered Las Trancas Birria Tacos They were absolutely fantastic! Order comes with 3 tacos. The slow cooked, delicate shredded beef is mouthwatering. Want an explosion of flavor in your mouth, dip the Birria Tacos in the comsomé. Perfect!!!

This Mexican restaurant is located in a very small strip mall that has other eateries and businesses. Very close to the highway, very close to hotels in the area. This particular night, the service was very good. Complementary chips and salsa hit the spot. Food came out quickly with very very good portions. However, all of our food seemed to be oversalted. Everything was salty. No, we did not say anything as we had to get on the road quickly. I've had better Mexican food at other restaurants. I was hoping for a really good experience here food wise but everyone in our party, the five of us, said their food was salty. I would, however, give this place another shot. Prices were decent, was $100 for the five of us, five entrees, two waters, three sodas.

What a hidden jewel. This is in a shopping strip, unassuming front. Typical Mexican restaurant decor. Where they shine is their food! The burrito was HUGE! Best of all, the flavors are not overly spicy, but there is flavor! Nice balance of rice, peppers, and cheese. This is a definite do-over. The peach margarita was a great way to start our evening.
