Las Trancas Elkins

We stopped at Las Trancas this past Friday night and had an INCREDIBLE experience! This has to be one of the cleanest Mexican restaurants I have ever been to with an upscale atmosphere. We were sat at a spacious booth that gave us privacy from other tables and were pleased when we weren’t rushed through our dining experience, like many other Mexican restaurants we have visited. We ordered 2 “monster” margaritas which were huge and under $10! We had the cheese dip as an appetizer and it was actually seasoned, therefore super delicious! My partner ordered a tamale and a chile relleno and I had the chicken fajita nachos. Both of our meals were amazing!!! We're visiting all the way from NY. Wanted to stop by a Spanish restaurant and we're are grateful to had find Las Trancas Elkins. Amazing, delicious food. La comida estaba sabrosa. Me facino este lugar. The place is so awesome inside. Great spot. Thank you to everyone and the owner. Muchas Gracias

We drive 1 hr, each way, every week to go here. Their food is extremely good, and the service is outstanding. I don't have pics on my phone or I'd post them. Very nice inside. It's not the typical decor found in Mexican restaurants.

We visited on 7/12/25. This is a Very Clean and Professional Restaurant and Bar. The food was very good. We had the wings which were cooked perfectly and a very nice portion. I got a Draft Beer and a Mango Chamoy Margarita. We also had the Tacos Al Pastor and the Birria Tacos which were excellent. The staff was very professional and the manager came over make sure we were satisfied and to inquire how we like their new menu additions. The Restrooms are immaculate. The manager asked if we would like something from the cabinet and we said 2 shots of the Whistle pig Whisky. I want to love this place. I really do, but I went here for dinner one night and got some interesting food. The mozzarella sticks and fajitas are great! The service is amazing and the atmosphere is so cool! However, I got the Tropical Burrito and was so excited, until I bit in. The pineapple tasted funny and the meat was so strange. It tasted like rotten and I actually couldn't eat the rest. I'm sure not every burrito is like that but mine was just a little weird. Also the beef in the quesadilla was VERY dry. Love everything else though. Maybe I'll give it a second chance.
