Laredos Mexican Bar and Grill

Came for lunch and sat at the bar. People were friendly upon arrival. Chips and salsa was brought out no too long after we were seated. Good lunch options. We ordered the Texas margarita and it was strong, better than I expected it to be. I ordered the taco bowl which was good and filling. Enjoyed my time and would come back.

This place was a pleasant surprise. From the front door to the wait and kitchen staff was an excellent experience. The restaurant was clean and very well kept. The restrooms were one of the cleanest I've seen anywhere. Once we were seated, there were chips and salsa placed on the table, and the drinks came shortly after. Once the waitress took our order, we may have waited about 5 to 7 minutes before it arrived at our table. I was super amazed. I didn't have to request anything from the waitress because she was on top of her game. The food was delicious and hot. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Keep up the excellent work. Will ne returning soon...Bravo.

The food provides no compelling reason to return. Our server was outstanding, and the place is generally comfortable. Right out of the gate, the table salsa is devoid of flavor. No spice, no depth, meh. Average at best. The queso is equally bland. My son wanted basic steak nachos and they came out that way. His comment was, "this doesn't taste like steak. It tastes like chicken with no flavor. " My go-to barometer for a first visit is usually carnitas. Continuing with the theme of no flavor, the roasted pork was meh. Not tasty, lacking any smokey roasted flavor. The beans were C- level. Overall, I cannot recommend the place. There are so many better options in close proximity for quality Mexican food.

Update; stuffed shells for the WIN! I've been getting the taco salad for the past year, and I feel like I've been really cheating myself! The stuffed shells are awesome and loaded with flavor, I'd get three chicken vs the chicken shrimp and steak! Every time I go I've had a good experience here not quite sure why the reviews are closer to four than five 🌟. Wednesday has $6.50 big beers. Chips & salsa are always good delicious food is good as well. My favorite is the chicken fajita taco salad! Street tacos are also awesome as well as the Laredo quesadilla. Tacos Supreme are plentiful (4), but the meat needs more seasoning.

Okay, this is not a new Mexican restaurant. This is one that's been there for 30 years serving the same clientele. The food is above par. The drinks are above par. It's a great place. The service and management are above par. I used to take my kids there and they're adults now.
