Customer Reviews
This is a good resturant. The menu is varied and the food is good. The fried rice could use just a bit more flavor. We also had Dan Dan noodle, chicken egg rolls and hot & sour soup. There is room to step up, just a notch. The pork pot stickers wee beautiful at presentation and were excellent. The service was VERY fast and all needs were well taken care of. Thank you Nick L. Job well done. I will be back
We had an excellent meal during Lao Sze Chuan's soft open. The star of the night was the house special wushan grill fish with hot & numbing spicy flavors. It was a massive, beautifully fried whole fish in Szechuan peppercorn and chili peppers. They allow you to customize the spice level if you want a milder (or even spicier) option. The xiao long bao and boiled sole fish filet were also tasty. The service and atmosphere were excellent - I was surprised how smoothly everything was running during just a soft open. I'm excited to come back to try the Peking duck and the snakehead!
If you’re looking for authentic Sichuan flavors, this is the spot! The food is incredibly flavorful—the perfect balance of heat and that signature numbing spice. We tried the Mapo Tofu, the peking duck and the twice cooked pork. And all three were standout dishes. The ambiance is modern yet cozy, making it a great place for a date or a group dinner. What really topped off the experience was the friendly and attentive staff; they were quick with recommendations and made sure our water glasses were never empty (which you’ll need with the spice!). Highly recommend!
Came here with a group and ordered a ton of dishes so we could try a little of everything. Honestly, everything hit. The flavors were bold, spicy (in a good way), and didn’t feel watered down at all. The dry chili dishes were especially good — crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The stir-fried veggies were cooked perfectly, and even the fried rice was solid, not greasy or boring. Portions were generous, food came out hot, and we all left full and happy. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m craving real Chinese food. Interior and food was 10/10
Had such a great experience at Lao Sze Chuan! All of the food tasted amazing and wasn’t greasy at all. The steamed fish was my favorite, buttery softness! The atmosphere is beautiful too, i love the colors and overall vibe of the restaurant. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!
