Lakeside Motel & Cottages

What a quaint, cozy place! I was thinking about going to a big brand hotel, I'm sure glad I didn't! The rooms look freshly remodeled. A great view of the lake, with easy on and off the highway. A small amount of money well spent on a local business...

Short trip up to Lakeside Cottages and resorts this week. Stayed in the Sherwood Cottage. Very cute, clean and has everything you need. We have been staying here for the past 24 years. The new owners are very nice and done so many wonderful improvements to the property. The grounds are beautiful and made the beach and fishing area bigger. Complete with pavilion, grills and fire pit. We will definitely be back this summer. The cottage are updated and remodeled. The hotel rooms also have many updates and some fully remodeled. We were given a tour by the owner. Very nice your owners.

It is too bad that the reviews can't delete old ones with former owners. It that case, this would be a 5 star motel or close to it. I loved my stay at this property. It reminds me of beautiful places from the past. The rooms have been beautifully updated and with the slding glass doors on the back facing the lake, they are hard to beat. This is a comfortable, clean place with the treasure of including the backyard space which is in three levels with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the lake, interact with family and friends, or play on the beach. I imagine it as a place to make new friends, or have a multi-generational vacation and grandkids sitting with their grandparents. It is a place of contentment and peace. We had come up in this area to Claire a few weeks back we found an Amish store in Colville Colonville and the wife wanted to come back up which to get a big pot which was 30 bucks less than Amazon and I knew about this Lakeside and it looked pretty good all fixed up And nice thing is that they’re not greedy lot is up north places are talking 200 bucks and up that’s just ridiculous as far as I’m concerned. Anyway, the sliding glass door with the Lake view is awesome. Nice little walk down to the lake lots of chairs, swinging chair and cathedral or gazebo rather and a small little beach. We did not go in the water there. I guess you could swim||Now getting to the room two full beds not queens but they are 6 1/2 feet long cause I’m 68. This may be the best keep secret in all of northern Michigan. My wife and I stayed a weekend in the middle of July for a wedding. The new owners were very nice and were working hard to update the property. Yes, the bathrooms were a bit small, but everything worked as it should. The TV has everything and is easy to use. The lake is very nice. We would definitely stay here again.
