Lakes Cafe

Found this Monday morning, all other cafés were closed within 20 miles, (Very happy too)!😍 Decor is modern and bright! Service Monday was fast and friendly. Other customers greeted us also, with smiles and chit chat!💛 Food was hot, delicious and hollandaise sauce was recommended which one of our friends liked. Tues. we came back before leaving the area, and the food was good, but it was a different. We loved the place!¡!!! We will be back to try the pies!!!🥰

As previous reviewers have mentioned, this is a very friendly establishment with fast service and good food. It is a breakfast and lunch restaurant so don't plan for a tasty dinner here. The locals love the place and it was quite busy when my wife and I visited for lunch--despite the fact that the road in front.was under construction. I ordered the Bonfire Burger (because I enjoy spicy-hot foods) and (even though they used pickled jalapeños rather than fresh) it was somewhat spicy but the flavor of the well-grilled patty was excellent. I'd order it again if we return to the area for another fishing trip (which we probably will since the fishing was great on one of the local lakes).

Awesome food!!!! Our whole family, even the picky ones, LOVED this place! Our waitress was SO kind and helpful— and upbeat to boot! Large portions per plate, and good (but non certified) gluten free options. Lived the stuffed hash browns!

Stopped here after spending the weekend at Maplewood state park, and I’m glad we did. The service was excellent, food was out fast, prices were decent. If I’m back this way I will definitely stop here to eat again.
