Lake Burger Tavern

We had a wonderful time here for lunch. The owner was very hospitable and accommodating. The staff were respectful and attentive. The owner recommended good options that we devoured. We ordered 3 burgers: mushroom n Swiss, aloha with no bacon, and argula, truffle honey burger. We also got three carne asada tacos from the "secret menu.' Prices were reasonable and the burgers were just the right size. We also upgraded to truffle fries for one of the burgers. It did not disappoint. I plan to come back with my children soon.

My wife found this place while we were looking for hometown bars. Just off the looks from outside this was not what we were looking for. When we got inside kinda the same feel. (Not a bad thing) It was very clean and well lit but we were looking for more of a "dive bar" just to have a quick snack and drinks. WOW very impressed with the staff and the food. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was probably the best chicken sandwich that I have ever had, anywhere. Very very good. 100% would recommend when you are looking for a quick and friendly place to eat. I did talk with the staff shortly after my meal and they were very friendly and happy to talk and share the bar story. We will definitely be going back.

Wow! My husband and I came in from out of town and tried a local burger spot that was highly recommended, but we left there unsatisfied with the burgers. The next day I really wanted to find a good burger to fill that craving. I looked on Google and came across Lake Tavern with high hopes and boy were they met and exceeded. We go out of state a lot and always try to find a good place to recommend and this is by far at the top of my list. I got the smash burger and went with the regular fries. The gentleman that served me was so kind and brought out some house made ketchup and aioli to try as well. This will forever be my go to spot anytime I’m in town and will always recommend to people. I’ll be dreaming of the day I get to come back! Thank you!!!

Lake Burger Tavern is an awesome spot with a fun, laid-back vibe. We absolutely loved the flavors of the margaritas—they were fresh, balanced, and packed with flavor. I tried the Honey Truffle Burger, which was very good. The burger itself could have used a little more seasoning, but the toppings and overall combination made it a unique and tasty choice. Great service, delicious drinks, and a menu that has something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Kalamazoo!

My husband and I decided to eat here on a whim and I am so glad we did, hands down my favorite burger joint now! I got the smash burger & upgraded my fries to the parmesan white truffle fries (seriously...delish!!) Our waitress was so attentive and intuitive. She brought out their house made garlic aoli sauce to dip my fries in and that took it to the next level.
