Lake Blackshear Regional Library

I have been charged $50 for a book that a woman named Hope (presumably the director of this facility) manages. This is a nifty system to scam a patron out of $$ knowing they can not defend themselves. I did NOT damage the book and no damage was noted when I turned it in. This Hope woman i(t seems) just arbitrarily decided I must be the one who damaged the book even though it had been handled by vatious other persons after I returned it. This is text book extortion and/or the epitome of " guilty until proven innocent"

The librarians, some who have been at this library for several years and others who have come along in recent times, are a caring and wonderful team, attentive to your needs and attentive to the environment of the library itself, which is well kept and always feels inviting. We are fortunate to have this Lake Blackshear Regional Library facility and staff here in Americus.

The kid section is absolutely amazing. The books are in great shape and the kids have a ball. The staff is friendly and helpful. An all around amazing library.

Our family loves the Lake Blackshear Regional Library. We appreciate the helpful staff, wide range of material available, and the kids' room is just fantastic!

Miss Hope the manager is the best. She’s very kind, & patient. She helped me with everything I needed!
