La esquina cubana

I was not ready for this. Absolutely blown away by how good this food was. La Esquina Cubana in Americus was absolutely amazing. I never even knew this place existed. My boss, who is Cuban, wanted to try it and we couldnt have picked a better spot. I had no idea we could get truly authentic Cuban/Latin/Caribbean food in Americus, Georgia. The portions were huge, the flavor was spot-on..just like I remember from living in South Miami. I am a fan and will definitely be back. It's not much as far as decor goes, but the food and service is amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant.

YALL. It’s time to try something new. My son ate his Cuban sandwich before I could snap a pic but lemme tell you some. This the best Cuban sandwich any of us have ever had. & I EAT. I get a pork chop w. Congris & salad, my mom gets the pork Home Run, tostones, tamales. Everything is so fresh, well seasoned, and delish. Not pictured we tried the shrimp dish they had and it was also awesome like the same seasoning you’d get at one of them seafood boil places. We have been a few times now and have been happy and full every time we leave. Look at these portion sizes! A great value w seasoned flavor. I’m here for it. 👏🏻👏🏻

I went here for lunch by myself at about 11:30am on Wednesday, 10.22.25 and sat in a booth on the left side of the restaurant facing the windows and ordered a Cuban sandwich requesting it without mayonnaise. The sandwich came with fries and I asked for a glass of water. I was one of two customers in the place at that time. When the plate of food came out it smelled good and looked good, but upon my first bite into the sandwich I was surprised the meat was still pretty cold and it was slathered with mayonnaise. I’m not the kind that complains, so I ate as much as I could of the sandwich because I was really hungry and had some of the fries. The fries were good and cooked just right. For 39.95 for 2 plates the oxtail were very small and dehydrated. Not worth it.

Food was outstanding for Cuban food. Friends took me there and I let them order because I trust what they say and I was not disappointed. Got the Home run with shrimp that were actually shrimp and not those little frozen things nice and plump. However everything was delicious, it might take a little on the long side to get your grub but it's worth it. The staff was very helpful and nice.
