Lago Azul Mexican & Salvadorian Restaurant

The food is decent, but it’s pricey for the small portions. One of the guys working there really lacks customer service—he always seems unhappy to be there and doesn’t show the kind of hospitality most of us expect. I’ve had much better experiences being served by one of the ladies there, she’s always pleasant and welcoming. They also rarely have many of the items listed on their menu, which kinda sucks.. so, if you’re craving something specific, it’s better to go somewhere that will actually have it.

This authentic Mexican restaurant, family business that have great cuisine. And they have Pupusas. 😊

Food was great little over Priced, some of menu items said made with chicharron but was actually carnitas was still good should update menu to what actually serving. example uploaded picture, menu said chicharron with Chile Verde they brought out carnitas with Chile verde. Chicharron- Pork Rind

You just got done skiing a very long day in the sun. You are hungry. You love tacos. Then you go to Lago Azul. It’s that simple. Are they the best tacos in Hailey, ID? Maybe. Are the best tacos for the scenario I just described. Yes. Get the street tacos.

Lago Azul was just what we needed after a week of vacationing in the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains. The restaurant was clean and easy to find. Our waiter was kind, helpful, and quick. The food was incredible! I had the 1/2 Tinga Taco plate with rice and beans. I make Tinga tacos at home, but mine don't taste quite as good as Lago Azul's. Their chicken is magical. The rest of my party kept things pretty traditional with chimichangas and quesadillas, but it was all exceptionally tasty. Stop in and enjoy this local, palette pleasing joint!
