Lafayette Inn & Restaurant

We enjoyed our stay here! We came just for a one night getaway and everything about it was everything we could have wanted in a historic bed-and-breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious, I liked how the rooms all had their own exterior entrances, the breakfast in the morning was delicious and filling, and the owner was so nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again the next time we are in town! (Regarding other people‘s comments about the cats, we saw a few outdoor cats but weren’t bothered by them at all. I’m generally not a cat person and was not turned off by the presence of these cats.)

What a great find! Was just looking for a convenient location after flying in to Charlottesville before heading up to Shenandoah National Park. This turned out to be so much more! The Inn is beautiful and well kept. Our room in Dicey cottage was huge yet at the same time cozy with a gas fireplace. Dinner was exceptional and we paired a local Virgina wine. Finally the Inn Keepers are just the nicest and filled with local knowledge and suggestions to enhance your trip. Can't recommend enough!

FLAWLESS customer service! :)(: No wonder they've been in business since 1840! Adrian is AMAZING! All y'all are AWESOME! Very understanding, helpful, professional, efficient, and courteous. Y'all go above and beyond! I'm sure my future wife and I will come back :)

We stayed here last night following the Montpelier Steeplechase races. We were looking for somewhere not to far from the racetrack. As we began to look for places and look at reviews the charm of the Inn attracted us. The owner Alan was super responsive with any questions prior to our arrival. We had to arrive around 8PM and their after hours check in was very easy. Alan actually greeted us as we were getting our room envelopes. He showed us where the rooms were located and said he would see us in the morning at breakfast. He is also the chef. The rooms were classic and had all the charm we had hoped for. Shower was great! We used Lafayette Inn for our rehearsal dinner, and while I was not behind the scenes for all the communications and/or meetings (shout out my mother in law), the end product was absolutely phenomenal. The food is to die for and knowing how historical the building and location is was an important point to why my now husband wanted to have it here. Whether you are having an event or just grabbing dinner, Lafayette Inn is a must stop whenever you are in town!
