La Raza Mexican Food

I’m from San Diego, so I know from good Mexican food; but I have never had any as good as I had at La Raza. Nearby street parking might be an issue; but if you order ahead, or honor the 20-minute green curb parking, not a problem. Also, a little walk will help stimulate your appetite or work off the calories. It looks like the place was just opened by a young wife and husband. Very friendly. The menu is displayed along the face of the ordering counter at about knee level. It shows a photo of the dish plus its name. I had the “new” Super Alambre, which was chopped marinated streak and shrimp on a bed of refried frijoles and melted cheese. Amazing! Food was fresh, flavorful and served really quick🤩 definitely a place we will be coming back to!

1st time here. 9/19/25 I had the carnitas tacos, they were delicious!!! I'll be back !!

OK I meant to post a picture of the tortas, but I accidentally ate them too fast. Delicious, fast, and really reasonable price. I'll be coming back for sure.

Staff is super friendly and the high chairs make it easy to take our toddler. The food is delicious and the cafe de olla is amazing
