La Posada de Maria Magdalena Bed & Breakfast

Fritz and John made me and my wife feel so welcomed as if we were family even though we had just met. This place is an absolute treasure in the middle of nowhere New Mexico! Not only are you getting a room with a view, but you’re basically staying inside a museum/art gallery. So many beautiful things and so much class inside this place. We were only passing by and we only stayed for one night, but next time, we’ll make Magdalena a destination and stay there for at least 3 nights…and that’s a promise not a threat!

Fritz and John are consummate hosts, and La Posada de Maria Magdalena gets my wholehearted recommendation. The Kachina room had a great view of nearby mountains, and the room itself was large and well appointed, with plenty of privacy. It was also as quiet as could be. John was a godsend in figuring out how to get the GPS on my rental car working, and Fritz was kind enough to open the gallery for me. He even gifted me one of his watercolors, which I love. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

It was always a pleasure staying at the La Posada B&B! Fritz and John are the best hosts, and make their guests feel welcomed and safe. Thanks for all the support over the three years I lived in NM!

Friendly and welcoming hosts, exquisitely decorated and spotless rooms, expansive vistas, and a most excellent breakfast. The gorgeous kitties are a bonus. An outstanding value.

Very comfortable and cozy! My friend and I arrived on a Friday, expecting to eat at Tumbleweeds Diner. Little did we know they were fully booked for Valentine's Day! Fritz and John jumped into the breach and offered us a delicious dinner. Breakfast was equally delicious. The rooms are nicely decorated. I stayed in the room in the house with our hosts. Very quiet and comfortable. I look forward to my next visit!
