Golden Spur Saloon

Still thinking about this place a year after I went. Feels like a fever dream. A great night out with friends. Montana and the locals made us out of towners feel special.

If I could give this place a 10 out of 5 I would. The bartender Steve was so friendly and accomidating. Some times small town bars can make out of towners fell out of place but not here. Everyone made us feel welcome and the Kareoke team rocked the house. Also the owners son, Montana, is exceptional. Even though he was not working he took time to ensure that our entire night was enjoyable. If we are ener in this part of New Mexico again we will go out of our way to come here again.

If I could give this place no stars I would this whole town wants money just to use there restroom don't support a place that forces you to pay.

Was there on a hunting trip and stopped in one evening because I thought I saw somewhere that it was a restaurant. All they had was pizza which would have been fine but the gal told us it was only frozen pizza. I realize it is probably hard to get enough help to run a full kitchen though. Cool atmosphere with the animal mounts and small stage for a band. We ended up leaving and ate a few week old cold Taco Bell tacos I brought along to eat up on the mountain.

Moved here a year ago, great old school watering hole.
