La Michoacana Janesville

La Michoacana in Janesville is located in a small, colorful plaza just across from the Janesville Mall. The space is really eye-catching and fun especially for kids. I brought my niece, and she loved how bright and playful it looked. She even made a little outfit from their display accessories, which was such a cute experience. That said, the overall visit didn’t live up to the visual charm. When we walked in, no one greeted us. Two staff members were behind the counter, but neither offered a hello or much conversation. They did let us sample a few flavors, which was nice, but the atmosphere felt flat. They offer a good number of non-dairy and vegan-friendly options, but most of them were fruity sorbets not creamy milk-based choices. The flavors we tried were okay, but nothing memorable

My mangonada was so delicious!! I can’t stop raving about it. We also got ice cream and popsicles which were delicious. The shop was very clean and the staff member was friendly. Highly recommend!

We all chose something different and each flavor was delicious. Very good texture too. The worker(possiblynowner?) was very nice and helpful. Definitely will be back.

Stopped by on a whim. Wonderful friendly staff explained, and gave me samples of, several of the items. The mango ice cream I bought was delicious, and I'll be back!

Fajitas Ranchero minus bacon was delicious. Had to take a doggy bag home. Queso dip was soupy. Chips weren't freshly made. Drink of choice was the Tajin mango add raspberry. I didn't like the tajin with the sticky content on the glass. The other drink was the watermelon margarita. I really enjoyed the ambiance and colors. I asked for more chips 3x and still didn't get them. Staff are ok but socialize a lot with one another which interferes with checking on customers.
