Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Janesville, WI

I love going here not only for the ice cream but the old fashion candies. Candy I haven’t seen in 42 years but here and I can share the experience with my 13 year old daughter who comes here for their ice cream. Great place over all.

Five start ice cream 4 star vibes spot in Janesville Cute little local ice cream shop right across from Franklin Middle School in Janesville, WI. It’s tucked into a tiny plaza on the corner of Mineral, near an elementary school, too. Took my niece here and was so pleasantly surprised they had vegan ice cream! As a vegan in Wisconsin, that’s rare and worth celebrating. Ice cream is big here, but finding scoopable (not soft-serve!) vegan options is hard. They had four different vegan flavors, including a fruity sorbet and a delicious oat milk-based Mint Oreo and Cookie Dough that reminded me of the creamy texture of traditional ice cream. The flavors were fantastic, and the portions were generous. You can even do a half scoop, which is a nice touch. A kid’s scoop and one adult scoop came

If I could give zero stars I would!! The way these new owners run this ice cream shop is shameful. Carlos and Sida built that business up to be hugely successful, only for the new owners to run it in the ground! They are barely open. This past week, not once. My autistic son had a routine of going there a couple times per week. Every single time we go, they're closed. Even when the hours say it should be open! WE MISS CARLOS AND SIDA!!!) P.S. Im sure i spelled Sida's name wrong.

Tons of ice cream and candy options. We loved the unique sundaes and shakes, like the dirt cup. The shop has a good amount of seating inside and a cute outdoor patio. There's a parking lot outside with plenty of free parking.

Great ice cream shop! Best banana split I have had in years! Highly recommended! Friendly staff, clean, comfortable atmosphere.
