Welcome to Paris, AR, and La Mesa Mexican Restaurant! Chef Arturo serves up authentic, flavorful dishes like street tacos and sizzling fajitas. Vegetarian options are clearly labeled, which is a big plus. 👍🏼 La Mesa is still a great value, with a welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, fast service, and a spotless dining area. The chips and salsa? 10/10. The chips are paper-thin and perfectly crispy, the salsa fresh—and yes, there’s even a salsa bar. What more can I say?! You’ll leave so full that a pit stop within 45 minutes is practically guaranteed. 🤣
I am an out-of-towner just visiting Paris for a friend's wedding and we were recommended La Mesa as the finest dining in town. After eating here, I heartily agree. The portions are generous, prices are cheap (by my city standards, anyway), and the selection is excellent. The food itself is excellent; our table ordered a range of tacos, a burrito, and enchiladas, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Atmosphere-wise it is average roadside fare, although live music was setting up when we left, which was a bit surprising. The dining area seems large enough to hold a dozen or so parties at once, although it might get pretty loud at that point. Plenty of parking available. I wouldn't have guessed Tex Mex would turn out to be such a Parisian staple, but stranger things have happened
I called in a $100+ order and it was done in less than 30 minutes, as soon as the food was in my hands my mouth was watering. On top of that my entire family of 5 was fed with plenty of leftovers (basically 3-4 meals worth) lets just say I got quite a bit more than what I expected. On top of that we got to eat very well-made and absolutely delicious food. I would say dont even think twice about coming here. Think once and then DO!
We were out on a motorcycle ride and decided to stop for lunch. Being from California we KNOW good Mexican food. Today wasn’t bad but not great either. We wish the tamale masa was not seasoned. The Texas Burrito was freaking HUGE and steaming hot! He liked it, except the bacon in it. The rice in my Chicken and Rice was GREAT! Our service was excellent.
My husband and I were in town while camping at Mount Magazine and decided we wanted some Mexican food. We passed by this place earlier in the day and saw that it was packed. We had the street tacos and the guacamole. It was delicious! Especially the guacamole, it tasted so fresh. (I would even say better than some Mexican restaurants in Texas) Staff was also very sweet. If you’re in town definitely stop by and try this place.
