La Mesa Mexican Restaurant

The salsa rojo was delicious—Smokey and flavorful! If the rest of the food had been bad, the salsa would have made up for it. My spouse had a burrito with red sauce, I had a burrito with chile verde and a chile relleno. Everything was delicious!! The shredded beef on the chile relleno was slow-cooked, tender, and full of beefy flavor. Chile verde was also delicious with falling apart tender chunks of pork in it.

Today, I had one of the most tasty chimichangas I’ve ever had. The chicken inside was shredded and the flavor wasn’t dependent on toppings or sauces. It was scrumptious! My husband’s pork enchilada was equally delicious. The service was quiet and competent, the restaurant—including restrooms—was clean, and the food was delivered to our table quickly. Overall, an excellent experience!

We're from oklahoma and enjoyed this restaurant 😋. The cheese dipping was different than were used to but overall it was really good.

Good little Mexican food place. The food was good and served hot. The server never really checked on us, he spent most of his time talking to one table and the rest of us were ignored except to place the order. When he brought my food it was not what I ordered but I could never get his attention to tell him so I ended up eating it rather that keep waiting. They were not very comfortable with the service dog laws. They wanted to see a vest. A service dog is not required to be in a vest nor are there any special papers (per ADA), but mine was vested so he was ok with us coming in and asked us to sit in the corner.

We stopped in for a late lunch, however we were told that they were not serving lunch any more. We ordered our food, a chimichanga and chicken burrito (when the burrito can it was more like fajitas). The salsa was really warm and we asked if they had anything milder and she said we could try the salsa bar. We tried a couple things but not very good. I got some radishes off the salsa bar but they were very soft/mushy and slightly yellow. I told our waitress and she said she would take care of it (they were still there when we left). Our food was ok, either bland or spicy hot if you added the salsa. When we got our bill I noticed that my pop was $3.95 and the menu says it’s $2.50, so she said she would change it, she changed it to $2.95. I know that it is a small price but a famil
