La Marsa South Lyon

I recently stopped by La Marsa in South Lyon while craving a good shawarma, and this place absolutely delivered. I like to think of myself as a bit of a shawarma connoisseur, and the beef shawarma here is hands down the best in town. The meat is flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and packed into a wrap that actually feels worth the price. The restaurant has a relaxed Mediterranean café vibe and the service has always been friendly and efficient. If you’re in the mood for Mediterranean food in South Lyon, La Marsa really doesn’t have much competition when it comes to shawarma. It’s an easy recommendation and a spot I’ll keep coming back to.

I was really looking forward to going to a different restaurant and found out that it is no longer there or changed ownership. So I decided to try La Marsa. Overall I thought the food was good. We got hummus for an appetizer and I thought while not the best I have ever had it was very good. The pita bread that it came with was outstanding. My wife could eat just the bread and hummus for a meal. My wife ordered Falafel and it was good but not great. There was good flavor but just felt more fried than I would personally like. I shared a person for two meal with my daughter and it really was food for 4. While it is impressive to see that much food I would prefer less food and better quality. Pricey for pretty standard fare. I got sticker shock when I saw it was $22 for shwarma, so I ordered a $13 regular Greek salad on a dinner plate. Doesn't say anything about onions on the menu and it was loaded with them. Who puts onions on a Greek salad? I should have asked for dressing on the side as it was absolutely dripping with it. Service was great and warm Pita with Garlic dip was excellent.

They are authentic, thankful, and professional. I get lunch here at least 2 days a week. Food is always perfect. They get me by name. I can tell they are grateful for my business. And that I value most

My car battery died right after I dropped off my parcel at UPS store next door, and nobody there had jumper cables. I popped over to La Marsa looking for help, it was dinner rush and they were super busy. But a young gentleman named Abdul came out to help me jump my car—absolute lifesaver! Huge thank you to Abdul and the team at La Marsa. Good food and good people. You all saved my day
