LA Manga Cafe

I wish I remembered to take some pictures inside! I will next time!, I arrived a few minutes before close and picked up some volumes of Chainsaw Man fast! The selection is small but there's lots of great series "Berserk,FLCL,Neon Genesis Evangelion and more" so go check out the store! also lots of parking in the back!

Nice little spot off Balboa, plenty of parking. He sells pretty much every manga on the shelves as well. Some snacks and drinks for sale at the counter too. Very friendly owner! Purchased a couple volumes of chainsaw Man on sale from him during my visit, would definitely visit again.

As of now it’s a somewhat small place, but has a variety of manga and figures to choose from. The owner, Lui , was also a great guy that gave solid recommendations and mentioned upcoming events he was going to take part in for his store. I 100% have faith in the future growth of this store. Lui and the LA Manga Cafe made my day, and could probably make yours too.

LA Manga Cafe is one of the best spots for social gatherings and hanging out with your friends and families. I've been to this shop many times and the shop's owner Lui is very kind and accommodating when it comes to answering the customers' questions, especially about manga selection or even sharing his opinions about certain series. If you guys are in/near Van Nuys or even in other LA areas, definitely check out this amazing spot.

This is more than just the manga aisle of Barnes & Noble, this is an actual manga cafe (in the LA area too, amazing!!!) where you can read and buy manga, have some snacks or refreshments, and best of all, enjoy the comfort of a nicely air conditioned room while listening to a soft anime (I think ghibli was playing when I was there) cafe instrumental playlist. What more could you ask for? I almost lost track of time as I was reading through a volume of Eva. The seat was comfy, and the mangas available are all in excellent condition. I’m so happy I saw this place on tik tok and was able to stop by during my lunch break. The owner seems really nice and chill too! I’ll definitely be back and hope to be a regular!
