La Forchetta da Massi

This was delicious! I just heard of it and so we went to try it and wow! We got the pesto pasta (sorry I forget what it's called) and the fettuccine alle siciliano. Then for dessert we got the semifeddo al cioccolato and Panna cotta alle fragole. Everything was so yummy and our server was so sweet and kind. Can't wait to go back!

We came there on a Saturday evening for a dinner on a recommendation of the local chef who likes this place a lot. I tried to call to book a table and no one responded but I doubt we’d get a table anyway because the place seems to be very popular and they already had a ton of reservations lined up. They offered us seating either at the bar or on the patio outside. We chose the bar because the evening was going to be chilly and, to my surprise, it wasn’t loud at all. We felt like there were only the two of us there and enjoyed our time having a dinner. I have to say that food is expensive there. Even more expensive than you would find in the Springs and Denver. La Forchetta da Massi is one of Pueblo’s absolute gems. The owners and the entire wait staff make you feel like family every single time, and the drinks are always on point. So glad they’re back open after the holiday — it was definitely missed. The gnocchi is my favorite. They changed the name, but the flavor is still just as incredible, which says everything about their kitchen. If you’ve never been, it’s an absolute must-try. Consistently great food, service, and atmosphere.

We tried La Forchetta for the first time last evening. We had an excellent experience. Here's the story: We actually made a bit of a mistake in reserving for 5:30 pm on the same evening as the local Parade of Lights, which goes right down Union Ave. in front of the restaurant. As expected, maneuver around the location and parking were problematic. Because of that, and the cold weather, we came early, arriving about 4:40. While we were willing to wait elsewhere, the proprietors seated us immediately while we waited for our other two parties to arrive. Big props for being accommodating. The food was top notch and the menu ranging from commonplace to exotic. Every dish had an element of gourmet treatment. All the entrees we ordered were excellent. The venue is small. My boyfriend, friend, and myself al decided to eat here for dinner last Wednesday. We’re from missouri, so this was our “nice dinner out” for our vacation. Our server had blonde hair and thick glasses. She didn’t seem happy that we were there, we kinda felt like a bother to her. We asked lots of questions about the menu as we’ve never had authentic Italian and we were excited/curious. She was helpful and got our order in. When we received our food it was all delicious! Definitely worth it! Towards the end our server was a lot more friendly and we even saw a smile! 😊 We would come back again!
