La Casetta was a pleasant surprise to find in Scotland Neck after visiting the Sylvan Bird Park. We enjoyed a 10" White Pizza with French Fries on the side and even treated ourselves to an order of Cannoli for dessert. As Italians from Italy, we are VERY particular about our food and we were delighted with the all of it— it was fresh and delicious and we cannot wait to return for another meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely and the staff is friendly and helpful. We even had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Croce, so warm and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful food and atmosphere. We had the seafood pizza and it was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Most of the food was decent. The veal was overcooked and not appetizing. But the biggest problem was the wait. We got there like 130 on a Saturday, it was about half full and the food took like 45 min. Salad came after mains, didnt include bread (I didn't want bread but it said it was included in the menu) and they never cleared appraiser dishes. Wings were good Calamari was heavy breaded and almost certinally frozen, not super chewy but bouncer than normal. Shrimp on salad were good but ofcourse only 4 of them. Salad itself was like iceberg lettuce. Veal piccata had a decent sauce, plenty sour like i perfer. But the veal wasn't very high quality, seemed overdone, and likely frozen too. For a small town Italian restaurant in the South, this is pretty good. I got the Italian sub which was good. My daughter ate most of the fries which I thought were very bland but she loved them. They were certainly hot & fresh. The kids pizza was good. Wish they did pizza by the slice. Everything was nicely decorated & clean. Service was fast & friendly. We didn't have room for dessert but the desserts looked delectable. Would return if in the area again.

It was more casual than I was expecting, especially given the price of the food. Seat yourself (which is fine), but service overall was lacking. Very slow and unprofessional. The food was not bad, but it wasn't great either. They did have a very interesting piece of decor, a live plant with vines growing out and set to continue growing out around the section we sat in. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, it just wasn't a good experience either. Not particularly somewhere I would make a point of returning to.
