La Bamba Mexican Kitchen

We love this restaurant- staff is warm and friendly, food is excellent and authentic, and FRESH. Atmosphere is laid back and casual, like a beach spot should be. We can the night before my daughter’s 10 birthday and told the chef we planned coming for her birthday with friends the next day. He made a fresh beautiful and amazing tres leche cake just for her. La Bamba is a must to visit in LBI.

Update 8/25: Another great meal here. Best value on LBI. Prior review: Mexican option on the southern end of LBI in Beach Haven. Our group of four shared a dips and chips app and entrees of fish tacos, veggie tacos, tuna tostadas, seafood burrito. All were well liked. We would return again. Inside seating is booths and brightly colored painted picnic tables. They need a dedicated space for customers waiting for takeout rather than allowing them to aimlessly hangout among the dining guests. It detracts from the dining atmosphere. Seemed understaffed and had to wait for our drinks to be served and to ask for more chips.

Have done here for years and all the locations have excellent service. I usually don’t review places but it’s so good I came for that. I saw negative reviews and me being a business owner I can spot disgruntled employees and the friends they recruit to post negative reviews. My advice to the owners is to have a lawyer write a cease and desist letter for defamation. Social media and reviews should be honest, not for vengeance. Our family goes here all the time and the staff has always been wonderful, attentive, they get the orders right and check on the table to make sure we are enjoying the food. They even replaced a dish for my daughter when she didn’t like hers and a waitress noticed. Please be honest in reviews. Leave hate behind and go on with life. We will continue eating here an

Went to have lunch with my family and the restaurant was so well decorated, very colorful and spacious. Everything we ordered was so good and tasty and food portions were generous. Definitely would recommend the fajitas, fish tacos and the nachos for sharing. If you are around give it a shot!!

So glad I stopped in!! Would have never known from the boulevard how fun the atmosphere is inside or how incredible their food is!! Have been a Beach Haven resident for over 25 years and no place around them compares. Barry’s, Bird and Betty’s, Stefano’s, and Gazebo, I still love you, but La Bamba is in a league of their own! Get the fish tacos with their homemade La Bamba sauce…never enjoyed anything more in all my life!!!
