Kwee-Jack Fish Co.

Not sure if it’s because I bought a salmon share from Utah Natural Meats vs buying directly from this vendor, but I was completely shocked and a little disappointed in my 20 pounds. The salmon I received was pancake thin. Not sure how to cook thin salmon but I will never buy here again.

We love the product Kwee-Jack provides. These guys are very professional and do a super good job of providing delicious fish. The packaging is excellent and protects the fish from any freezer burn for months.

We support the mission of this company and try to buy from small businesses, especially family run ones, when we can. Despite a rave review from a neighbor, we have been fairly disappointed with the cuts of fish we received and generally insulted by the customer service. We ordered 20 lbs of frozen salmon and almost half of our order was tail pieces. The tail pieces are definitely lower quality than the center cut pieces. At $25/lb (more than double our local supermarket), we did not expect such variation with the fish. The online descriptions are vague - Joe told us this is on purpose. If we would have known the fillets were going to be this way, we would not have ordered. He also let us know it was our fault for placing too big of an order. Bought halibut, it was the most mediocre halibut I ever bought. Normally this is the safest frozen fish to buy as the flesh stays fresh the longest compared to other fish. But my order, the fish is clearly old(or not processed timely) with brown spots, poor flavor.

This was my first time purchasing Salmon from Kwee-Jack but it won’t be the last. The fish is excellent quality. The company is very good with communications having sent timely reminders about pickup and details on location and product info. Pickup was simple and fast. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Look forward to many years of salmon in the freezer.
