Kutztown Tavern

Great food, very reasonable pricing! If you're at Kutztown visiting your kid, check out the Kutztown Tavern! It's pretty spacious inside, the staff was friendly, and the food was good. I enjoyed the Belly Buster Fish Sandwich, and the club sandwich and brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich looked great, too. The next table over had wings-they looked yummy. I can't wait to go back, see my kid, and then spoil him with some great food!

Went here with a few friends, I loved the dining atmosphere. It was warm and inviting and the adult beverages were amazing. The service was also great, the food and drinks came out fast. I will be coming back for sure!

We visited Kutztown to spend the day with our son in college and decided to take him and his roommate to the Kutztown Tavern. The food was pretty good this time—I've found it to be hit or miss in the past, but I really enjoyed my steak sandwich. It was nicely done, and the boys loved their Mozzarella Sticks. Unfortunately, the service left something to be desired. Our waitress, whose initials on the bill were KS, didn’t come across as very friendly. It felt as though she was used to dealing with college students rather than adults, or perhaps she simply didn’t enjoy her job. Either way, her tone wasn’t welcoming, and at one point, she even snapped at my husband when he was just trying to save her an extra trip to our table. Met a friend here for drinks and dinner and had a very nice experience! The restaurant is very clean and well-lit, it's well-maintained and offers a nice selection of craft beers and food. The food we ordered was freshly made, hot, and well seasoned 😋. Being nestled in the middle of PA Dutch country, I felt the food leaned on the heavy side in terms of composition and could benefit from some more acid and vegetables for brightness. It was a little loud when the restaurant was packed, and you know that's not an environment I prefer, but the servers were attentive and pleasant, and the overall vibe of the place was friendly. Worth checking out!
