As a Thai American, honestly I would have never guessed that I would find an authentic Thai restaurant in Harbor City. Since the area is prominently non Thai or Asian, I had made assumptions about this Thai spot. I was wrong. I was so crazy wrong. Krata is actually cooking Thai food with authentic flavors. I was impressed! Krata is creative with presentation and introduces new Thai dishes that I never tasted before that my critical Thai mom would approve. Khao Soi with roasted duck breast, presentation was 10/10 along with concentrated curry flavors, both slippery & crunchy egg noodles, mustard greens and it was amazing. One of the best I've had. It’s my first time trying northern Thailand cuisine! This is their only location in the US. I’m glad I stoped by this restaurant called krata! I’m obsessed with Thai curry 🍛 and all the food that I got was really good! The tomyum soup is soo sooo good! I love how it has a lot of seafood inside. The flavor is soo deep and delicious. I was shooked. I also loved the roasted duck curry! Ambiance is nice and casual, The service is 10/10 the sever made sure we got the best dishes from appetizer to main course. I love how aesthetically pleasing the food and the taste didn’t disappoint. Eveythjng was soo delicious I will recommend this to my friends and family and definitely will come back. Squid. Neither raw nor overdone. Texture perfect and so is taste. Khao Soi noodles, chicken. Meat is perfectly succulent and juicy. Soup spicy a medium way as asked for, perfect heat. With lime, and perfect pickled vegetables the sour counterbalances on the tongue with the spicy in a grounding energy and dance. The crispy noodles and the soft yet firm chewy noodles dunked in soup, set on a small plate to again balance with the chicken and lime and pickled vegetables makes for a perfect course. The pad Thai with beef has similar assurance. Thank you to this restaurant.

We had ordered Tom Yum Shrimp Spoup + Cream cheese crab roll + shrimp pad Thai. Let me telllllll you! Soooo good. So flavorful & fresh. Best pad Thai we ever had! The atmosphere was so nice, soft music, clean & just very comfortable. The gentleman who served us was soooo sweet & such a great help. Love this place. Will be back soon. Was also gifted sweet treats. 😋 loved my time here. 🥰

TL;DR My favorite spot for authentic Thai food. BOGO Thai tea promotion. Spicy minced chicken ball and crispy combination seafood were standouts. Aromatic shrimp paste soup with beef stew had a light sour note and extremely tender beef, like beef noodle soup. Grilled fish salad was amazing and not fishy at all. I would absolutely get the fried rice again, portions are huge. Thai tea cheesecake with coconut ice cream was unique and delicious. This is hands down my favorite spot for authentic Thai food. I have already been back twice and can easily see myself becoming a regular. They opened in August and focus on a modern take on authentic Thai cuisine.
