Harbor City - Harbor Gateway Branch Library

One of the best libraries in the South Bay!!! Incredible book selections for all ages with the most current/hot books!! Excellent space for small children with many features for them to climb on an play with! They have FANTASTIC sensory room that has open/walk in times as well as reservations available for anyone to enjoy and explore the space! As of today 9/10 the story time/activity for children is every other Wednesday at 10:30am and is an excellent place to enjoy your morning with you littles!! Also, learned they have some ukulele you can borrow and play (potentially classes too!?!). 10/10 recommend this space

Extremely loud library with kids screaming, only 1 study room, and there’s no enforcement of basic level of quietness. Doesn’t help that the acoustics in the library are awful, and that there’s no carpet to at least dampen the noise.

Spacious library collection of LAPL. It’s one of the nicest and cleanest I’ve been too. Tree outsides were very nice. I think it’s a bit cold inside on a cold day. Restroom was also pretty cold. Wifi didn’t work on my laptop. The parking lot is huge and free.

Wonderful Librarians and a well stocked selection of books, movies and music as well as computers, children's reading area and study rooms are available to library visitors. Plentiful free parking too and a Ballot Box for elections is adjacent to the main entrance.

The librarian and the staff are always ready to help you find anything you are looking for. Nice selection of novels in Spanish, beautiful kids area, study room and many activities. This library is never crowded and the time I spend there always a seems to me the best one in the day. Thank you all you for having this wonderful resource available to all of us, specially the kids. If you are a teacher, they have a special card for you and if you are a student be sure to ask for their student success card!
