KPOP BBQ AND BAR

I had high hopes for KPOP BBQ AND BAR, but overall the experience was very poor. When we arrived, we noticed that only one side of the restaurant was being used, with just three waiters and one person working the bar. Right away, it felt clearly understaffed for a KBBQ restaurant. We were seated after about 30 minutes, which honestly wasn’t too bad, but I highly recommend making a reservation. Shortly after we arrived, there was a big influx of people, and we overheard staff telling walk-ins that the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour because of the limited staff. The first major issue was the food quality. The pasta salad actually tasted fairly good, but it was served in a bowl full of liquid like soup, which was odd. The kimchi did not taste fresh at all. Eric truly went above and beyond and made this one of the best KBBQ experiences I have ever had. From the moment we were seated, he was attentive, welcoming, and made sure we felt taken care of without ever feeling rushed or ignored. He checked in consistently at just the right times, always anticipating what we might need before we even had to ask. His presence alone elevated the entire meal and set the tone for a relaxed, enjoyable experience. What really stood out was how hands on and knowledgeable Eric was with the cooking. He was constantly at our table helping cook the meats, making sure everything was cooked perfectly and evenly. He explained what cuts were best cooked longer versus quicker, adjusted the grill when needed, and made sure nothing ever overcooked or went to waste. Bec

Justin and Eric was phenomenal. We have been to other K-pop and the service. They were very attentive and checked on us often with the restaurant being very busy on a Friday night. They deserved to be recognized for their service and genuine hospitality. We traveled all the way from Covington and was not disappointed. We will definitely take the trip to come back here again. Not sure what happened but recently this place has gone downhill. The food is alright. The Service is JUST okay. Recent change to the menu. (Cheap Menu with half the options & a more expensive menu option). Also now have to pay extra for appetizers which were once part of the included price. Same as someone else recently commented, I Have been here over 10 times before some of the recent changes. If you're looking for a alright restaurant sure. a GREAT restaurant? Ehhh there are better more authentic Korean BBQ options in the same area. This place used to be amazing. The service, price increases, and quality is dropping.

Eric went above and beyond throughout the entire meal. He changed the grill between every type of meat, which really showed how much care and attention he puts into his work. That alone made a huge difference in the quality and cleanliness of the dining experience, and it didn’t go unnoticed. On top of that, Eric was incredibly kind and engaging. He checked in consistently without being overbearing, made sure everything tasted right, and was genuinely interested in having a conversation.
