Customer Reviews
Great place to get your sushi craving satisfied. We had the 40 piece sashimi platter which was pretty good, though some were uneven or mushy. Also had lots of rolls like spider, November, double salmon. Good size and flavor.
Food is average. Nothing memorable or outstanding that you have to go back. Lunch Specials are only during Tu - Fri only 11 - 2:30. Portions are decent. Prices are reasonable. Service is quick and efficient. Kid Friendly - there is a kids menu. However no diaper changing table in the restrooms. Parking lot in the back. Accessibility friendly.
Good quality, friendly service. It is hard to find a place that offers decent quality sashimi at these prices. They have a 40 piece for $70. It is not a fancy place, but it is solid and clean and friendly. Closes kind of early at 9pm. Great neighborhood place ! Clean bathrooms. No fish smell 👃 n or around restaurant.
Koyomi is our go-to Japanese restaurant in Castro Valley. This is actually another gem in our small town. I have to admit, I ignored this place for a long time because we have other favorite Japanese restaurants we go to until the pandemic happened. We ordered online and it did not disappoint. The portions of sashimi cuts are generous, cooked food are also good. My favorite here is the sashimi salad but everything we order from this place are actually good! We ordered almost regularly since our first order and we have dined in a few times when dine in was allowed. This place is always busy with take-out orders and the last time we dined in which was just a few days ago, it was full so this is an indicator that they have good food. The staff are always pleasant as well. Give this p
It was excellent. The proteins were lean and non greasy, and the presentation, service, and atmosphere were great. The place looks dead when you look at it from the Castro Valley Blvd side. Most patrons park in the back of the premises. I will surely return.
