KOTO Hibachi & Sushi

We got the Hibachi chicken. The chicken was slightly over cooked, not alot of flavor. The veges were good, but the fried rice was bland. Eggs rolls very good. Portions are generous but wish everything had more flavor . May try one more time.

First time ordering from Koto Hibachi in Cameron, NC and definitely the last time. I have never had terrible nasty Japanese food until now. I had the Hibachi steak and shrimp. I don’t know what kind of meat that was but it definitely wasn’t beef steak! It tasted like liver and the texture was like trying to chew through pure “gristle”. I thought maybe I got a bad batch, but my husband’s food was just as nasty. The chicken plates were also nasty. No flavor at all. The spicy tuna roll had no flavor. I ordered for 7 people and no one, No one ate their food. It was horrible. I wish I would have taken a picture because the “steak” had an unusual slimy gloss to it. Stay away.

First and last time trying this place... The Volcano Roll was ok but the California Roll fell apart, every slice. The Steam Gyoza was cold and the"ruffles" were hard. The Steak Yaki Udon was just flat out nasty. One bite of steak with no flavor or sauce and the udon noodles were so over cooked they were just mush. 8/10 do not recommend. This is why I don't like trying different places than my usual lol definitely not worth the money.

Called in my order at 720. Got told 10-20 minutes. Showed up at 735. Didn’t get my food until 750. It’s almost like they waited to start my order until I got there and paid. If tha is an issue, how about to take the payment over the phone. Restuarant smelled like rotten eggs. Sushi was not good at all for what I paid. Glad I did not leave a tip.

Enjoying the sushi. Slightly overpriced but what isn’t. The restaurant business is not an easy existence. Will be back definitely.
