We visited Koshary Corner inside R. House, a vibrant food hall with a variety of vendors. I ordered the Egyptian Breakfast Feast ($16.85), which came with two whole falafels (cut in half), pita bread, a side salad, french fries, and eight different sauces. The falafel was definitely the highlight—crispy, well-seasoned, and especially tasty with the garlic sauce and tabouli. The tabouli was fresh and flavorful, easily the best of the sauces. The garlic sauce had an unusual appearance, while the hummus lacked the expected creaminess. Other components were less impressive. The pita bread was dry and a bit stale. The french fries were fine flavor-wise, but they were supposed to be roasted potatoes (see attached website photo). I was confused why french fries would be on a “breakfast” dish, b
I tried the koshari and shawarma and would rate them 5/10. The shawarma didn’t quite meet my expectations – it felt more like meat pieces with diced onion, tomato, and a little white sauce, and the pita bread was slightly dry. The koshari was average, and the oil taste was a bit strong. Personally, I wouldn’t order these dishes again, but I believe other menu items might be better.
I attended the August 2025 Dance & Dine hosted by Iman, the owner of Koshary Corner, and the experience was absolutely delightful! We explored the history and flow of Egyptian Belly Dance and even put together a full routine—such bliss! After dancing, we wound down with delicious Egyptian street food and light refreshments. I had the Beef Shawarma Koshary Bowl with garlic and spicy red pepper dressing. Each bite packed a flavorful punch. I would definitely attend this event again. Thank you, Iman, for organizing such a beautiful and joyful experience!
Such a great place for Vegan Middle Eastern Food! I’ve never seen a place serving all Vegan food from that region! Great food, great service, friendly employees, and plastic-free utensils! Love how they care about animals, plant and costumers! Highly recommend!😍🤤
I greatly appreciate the amount of vegan options. The Korshary dish is incredible! I also loved the Rose smoothie. Service was super fast and friendly. The atmosphere in the food hall is great.
